Relay For Life 2019
June 8-9, from 10:00AM - 10:00AM

"Cancer won't win because our communities take on the fight". Inspired by this slogan, the Guerrillas showed up, gave their time during the day and camped through the night for Relay For Life of Waterford. Cancer has touched many of us in some way, so we decided to fight back by raising funds. The funds donated to Relay For Life are used to raise awareness in the community so that the cancer survivors are not alone in their fight and we as a community are taking action to help eliminate cancer as a major health problem.

Team 469 along with other members of The Robot People, took turns walking around the track to raise money to help American cancer society in their life saving mission. Anything can be accomplished when we rally together. As the walk started we cheered for Marjie Jenkins, our team coach, who is also a cancer survivor. She gave a speech on her story of battling breast cancer and fighting for survival. View Marjie's speech here.
Our fundraising team, The Robot People raised $8,017.68.
