Phoenix Derby Race

Las Guerrillas volunteered at the 2nd Annual Phoenix Derby races held in Pontiac on 2nd August 2019. The participants built and decorated a soapbox car from a kit. It was a great opportunity for networking as the student volunteers got to build cars with mentors, many of which were General Motors employees having experience in technology and design careers.

Mentor Don Hutchinson coordinated the event. Other mentors supporting the event were Eileen Mullin, Michelle Novaco, Piyush Shukla, and Don Ufford.

The students who volunteered are:

Pranav Shukla, Camelle Kreager, Connor Morgan, Grishanth Manoharan, Andrew Hutchinson, Pranav Arunandhi, and Om Joshi.
